Ahmad Shawafo is the Culinary chef at Griffco Foods. Chef Ahmad seeks to drive healthy eating by promoting nutritious and fresh food as key ingredients in the recipe for life-long health and wellness.

A native of Aleppo in Syria, Chef Ahmad was heavily influenced by Aleppo cuisine, one of the founding culinary arts of Middle Eastern cuisine and the ‘mother of kibbeh and stuffed vegetables’; also known for rich and diverse use of flavors, colors and flavor combinations .

Chef Ahmad worked over 18 years across GCC countries crafting and developing new food menu items for more than 82 restaurants.

Being creative and interacting with different people and customers, I feel it is very enriching and rewarding.

What is the advice you would give to your younger self?

Work hard and never give up.

Simple food, real fresh ingredients and tasty combinations.
