Braised Korean Beef Short Ribs

Classic Korean Braised Beef Short Ribs cooked low and slow until they reach fall-off-the-bone deliciousness.  This simple dish is a classic that is full of comfort food flavor. Uses Custom Culinary® Chef’s Own™ Seasoned Pre-Dust and Master’s Touch Korean BBQ Sauce.

Quantity Ingredients
12 pieces Beef Short Ribs, Cut into Large 320 gms Pieces
250 gms Chef's Own™ Seasoned Pre-Dust
2 gms Black Pepper, Ground
150 gms
Vegetable Oil
500 gms Master’s Touch Korean BBQ Sauce  

Preparation

  1. Mix flour and pepper. Dredge short ribs in Chef's Own™ Seasoned Pre-Dust, coating thoroughly. Shake off excess.
  2. In a large braising pan, heat vegetable oil over medium high heat. Brown beef pieces evenly. Pour off excess oil. Place browned short ribs in a roasting pan with a lid.
  3. Mix Master’s Touch Korean BBQ Sauce with equal amount of water and reconstitute.
  4. Pour the reconstituted Master’s Touch Korean BBQ Sauce into the pan and allow it to braise for 2 hours.
  5. Add on rosemary sprig, cover with lid, and cook on low for 8 hours, until meat is fork tender.
  6. Serve on a bed of mash potato and garnish with rosemary.
